Temporary SaaS Contract Attorney for Top Law Firm

Chicago, IL (Hybrid Preferred) | Contract Opportunity Our client, a top international law firm with offices in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Contract Attorney to support its nationally recognized Advanced Media & Technology practice group. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the firm\'s signature practices, which advises clients across technology, fintech, digital media, advertising, privacy, intellectual property, and luxury brands industries. The selected attorney will work closely with the firm\'s Co-Chair of the Advanced Media & Technology Department and collaborate with a highly respected team handling sophisticated commercial technology transactions for leading companies. This need arises from a combination of increased client demand and coverage for an attorney on parental leave, creating an opportunity for an experienced technology transactions lawyer to make an immediate impact. Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial technology agreements Advise clients on software, SaaS, technology licensing, data, IT services, and related transactions Support matters involving digital media, advertising technology, fintech, privacy, and emerging technology issues Partner with attorneys and clients on complex transactional matters across a broad range of industries Qualifications Minimum 4+ years of law firm experience 5+ years of technology transactions experience Strong experience drafting and negotiating: Software agreements SaaS agreements Data-related agreements IT services agreements Other commercial technology transactions Experience with advertising, media, or adtech matters is a plus Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client-facing skills Location & Schedule Remote candidates will be considered Strong preference for attorneys who can work from the firm\'s Chicago office 1-3 days per week Expected workload averages approximately 30 hours per week Hours may ramp up gradually and fluctuate based on business needs, requiring flexibility Initial contract assignment through February 2027 (approximately 6 months) At the conclusion of the engagement, the firm will evaluate future needs, which may include: #J-18808-Ljbffr Tower Legal Solutions
