Food Services Specialist II

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the CDC-Child Development Ctr department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:

• Plan menus to meet NAEYC, CACFP, DSS, and ABC guidelines.
• Prepare and serve snacks and meals on a daily basis.
• Develop the food service procurement plan and maintain inventory of food supplies and equipment in accordance with an established plan.
• Ensure the food program operates within the budget.
• Complete and have available for review the CACFP reports and records for the food program.
• Assist in parent communication regarding the nutrition program.
• Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety conditions in the kitchen and storage areas.

Minimum qualifications: A high school diploma and experience in quantity and quality cooking or in a bakery.

Preferred qualifications:

• Six months experience in food preparation in a Child Development Center
• Knowledge of CACFP guidelines
• Completion of a post-secondary food service program
