Responsibilities Perform tests and inspections for soils, concrete, asphalt, reinforced concrete, masonry, welding & bolting, fireproofing & firestopping, geotechnical investigations, and more. Read construction drawings and specifications and correctly interpret test results Complete assignment accurately and in accordance with appropriate established standards. Record and report test results in a clear, concise manner. Communicate regularly with project managers. Complete field data records and associated reports daily. Degree in Civil Engineering / Technology, Geology, or related is ideal, although necessary. Must possess at least one International Code Council (ICC) Certification for one of the following Special Inspector Categories: reinforced concrete, soils, masonry, spray applied fireproofing, steel & bolt or steel & weld, or American Concrete Institute (ACI) Grade 1, or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate through a State Board. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, teammates, and clients, through clear communications and proactive progress reporting.
