Overview Audits vendor payments by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances; analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies; insuring credit receipt; issuing stop‑payments or purchase order amendments; reimbursing employee expenses. Primary Responsibilities Audit company payments to suppliers and reimbursement payments Work with Accounts Payable leadership to create processes to increase accuracy Oversee the workload of the Accounts Payable Clerks in order to ensure compliance and accuracy Help solve issues regarding the use of tools, guides, and procedures Assist in revising reference tools, guides and procedures manuals Research and respond to executive inquiries Analyze generated reports for quality and productivity within the Department Assist in training both divisional and departmental users on accounts payable processes as they relate to transactions in the SAP System Provide feedback to Management regarding training needs based on the frequency of problem types and inquiries from employees Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting business practices, terms, and concepts Perform other job‑related duties as assigned Additional Primary Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications Associate of Arts degree or equivalent from two‑year College or technical school preferred. 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting Physical Demands Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to the rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs EEO Statement Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Aff afficitive Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
