Account Manager - Children's Apparel

Our client, a leading kids apparel manufacturer, is seeking an Account Manager to join their team in NYC!

**Onsite 5 days a week

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a growth strategy for Walmart business
• Analyze competitive market and translate those insights into differentiated products and business opportunities
• Serve as a strategic partner to the customer, developing relationships across the organization
• Find and develop new avenues for growth by evaluating consumer trends, product opportunities, assortment needs, pricing, and the way products are positioned in the marketplace
• Review and report on sales, inventory, and margin performance
• Maintain strong relationships with retail partners to identify business opportunities
• Ensure assortments align with sales history, market trends, and margin goals
• Identify potential production issues or delays to communicate to retail partners
• Monitor inventory levels
• Travel locally and domestically to shop the market for trend insights
• Create presentations for market insights, competitive analysis, and sales data and present to buyers
• Develop growth strategies

Requirements:

• 5-8+ years' experience in account management across apparel or consumer goods
• Bachelors Degree required
• Children's apparel knowledge
• Current experience managing Walmart business
• Strong project management skills
• Commercially driven with strong selling and negotiation skills
• Strong presentation and relationship-building abilities
• Merchant mindset
• High organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal communication & writing skills
• Travel required
