Overview
Registered Nurse - Outpatient in Saint Helena, California. Start date: 09/21/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,328–$2,560 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 4x10 days with daytime hours. Work setting: short-term acute care hospital outpatient surgery and endoscopy service line. Typical start times run around 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; start times may vary between 5:30 AM and 11:00 AM based on case volume.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient surgery/endoscopy patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Manage pre-op, intra-op, and PACU Phase II workflows, including moderate sedation as appropriate, in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.
- Collaborate with the care team (physicians, anesthesiology, support staff) and supervise/coordinate activities of nursing staff and other team members.
- Collect and interpret relevant patient data, develop and implement a care plan, and evaluate progress toward outcomes; provide patient/family education and participate in discharge planning.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record, ensure patient safety, and support efficient patient throughput.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications required per program policy
- Endoscopy experience and outpatient/perioperative nursing experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in the field
- EPIC EMR experience
- BSN preferred; willingness to work in an outpatient surgical/perioperative setting; comfortable with pre-op and PACU Phase II workflows
