Overview
Registered Nurse – Outpatient travel assignment in Saint Helena, California. Start date 09/21/2026 for a 13-week engagement with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Shift is four 10-hour day shifts. This role supports outpatient surgery and perioperative care in a short-term acute care setting. Travel assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC (Hiring Organization).

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for outpatient surgical patients using the nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across levels; coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
- Prepare patients for perioperative events and oversee pre-op and PACU Phase II workflows; manage endoscopy cases and moderate sedation as applicable
- Administer medications and monitor patient status; respond to changes in condition and emergencies per policy
- Document care in the EMR (EPIC) and communicate with patients, families, and the treatment team; participate in discharge planning
- Promote patient safety and a healing environment; ensure adherence to infection control and vaccination policies

Requirements
- Current and active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: BSN preferred
- Experience: at least 2 years of recent, relevant experience in outpatient/perioperative settings; endoscopy experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS from an approved provider
- Special skills: EPIC (or equivalent EMR) experience; comfortable with pre-op and PACU Phase II workflows; able to handle fast-paced outpatient surgery and moderate sedation environments
