A confidential search Cleveland, Ohio FULL TIME$50,000 – $70,000Real EstateAbout This RoleProperty AccountantCleveland, Ohio | Full-Time | HybridManage the financial operations of a commercial real estate portfolio. You'll prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, and partner with property managers and leadership to drive accurate reporting and financial insights.What You'll DoPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.Record journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and amortization.Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and tenant billings monthly.Calculate and manage Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges and tenant rent.Analyze operating results and explain variances to management.Support annual budgeting and forecasting for your property portfolio.Assist with audit and tax preparation workpapers as needed.What You'll NeedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.2+ years of accounting experience in commercial real estate or property management.Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required).Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with Yardi or MRI (accounting/Enterprise Resource Planning system).CAM reconciliation experience.Knowledge of real estate accounting principles and practices.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.401(k) with employer match.Medical, dental, and life insurance.Paid time off and paid holidays.Long-term disability coverage.Hybrid work schedule with flexibility.Career growth and leadership opportunities.Mentorship from the Assistant Controller – Commercial.Work in a collaborative, supportive team environment.About UsWe are a full-service real estate development and management company with decades of experience building commercial, retail, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use properties across the region and nationally.
