This role involves working night shifts on a 3rd floor cardiac intensive care unit that is equipped with advanced cardiac and critical care equipment. The position requires providing exceptional patient care within a team-focused environment, supporting a unit that handles diverse cardiac cases and procedures. Job Details Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS certifications; 2 years of ICU experience; candidates without these skills will not be considered; no specific education or degree requirements listed; located in Salem, VA; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac experience; CCRN certification Additional Information: The unit supports a team of healthcare professionals including nurses, externs, and paramedics. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 3:1. Equipment used includes Tablo, Impella, Swan Ganz, and other advanced cardiac monitors and devices. Typical procedures performed include bedside trach, sheath removal, post-cardiac catheterization care, and TCP. A team-focused personality is ideal. The candidate will work every other weekend and will not be on call. No block scheduling is guaranteed.
