Systems Engineer

Job TitleIn this role, the candidate will provide engineering support for the implementation of a portion of the program's systems engineering.To succeed in this role, you must have systems engineering development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology. The position is full time, on-site in the Dallas TX metro.Qualifications RequiredCollaborate with the multi-discipline engineering teams to design and develop softwareAssist in providing technical information and clarification during the entire software development Lifecyle; from conceptualization and design to development, testing, deployment, and operationsPerform solution decomposition from customer epics, to capabilities, to features, to stories according to SAFe Agile practicesApply systems engineering expertise to feature designs to reduce overall risk to the software development effortEngage with SMEs from other disciplines to fully understand the solution and document the designs.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations; or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 6 years' experienceAn active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Demonstrated system engineering and technical experience with software systems developmentExperience in agile software development activities, including system level design specification and integration test and verification activities (full SE life cycle)Domain experience in IC GEOINT, including familiarity with common GEOINT still imagery data formatsExperience in development of ICDs, APIs, and system specifications as a primary authorExperience using the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and ConfluenceExperience in cloud or cloud-hybrid deployment environmentsAbility to interact effectively with customer and consumer communities for technical exchange meetings and design briefingsExperience working in an Agile development team environment with multi-discipline engineers and stake holders, developing system solutions to meet customer requirements, requirements decomposition, and experience with CONOPS developmentExperience working on teams addressing solution definition, decomposition, design and acceptance criteriaExperience in development of containerized software system architecturesAbility to function independently in the development and revisions of existing ICDs, APIs, and system specifications in response to contract modsProgram experience with requirements development and/or requirements maintenanceQualifications We PreferExperience with streaming data formats including Full Motion Video and Moving Target Indicator dataStrong communications skills to support technical exchange meetings and design briefingsEngineering experience working in the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodology that ensures high quality software is built and released to end-users quickly and within cost and schedule parametersExperience using MBSE processes and tools to capture systems design and elaboration in Cameo or similar toolsDomain experience with active data types supported by NSGPDDsThorough understanding of the 12 Factor App concepts for service developmentStrong experience with Confluence as a communications medium
