Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity near Niagara Falls, NY, supporting the speech and communication development of a bright 5th grade student. This role is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child’s life.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, particularly with elementary or middle school students.
- Strong ability to engage and motivate young learners in individual settings.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to therapy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct three individualized speech therapy sessions each week with a 5th grade girl.
- Develop targeted therapy plans to address specific speech/language goals based on student needs and IEP requirements.
- Track progress, adjust interventions as necessary, and document session outcomes in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to provide cohesive, student-centered support.
- Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers to share progress and offer strategies for home practice.
- Stay informed about best practices and current research in the field of speech-language therapy.
