Description of responsibilities:
Prepare food items utilizing standardized recipes
Determine food and supplies needed
Coordinate meal production with service hours
Monitor food items for temperature, taste, and quality
Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of food items per the menu cycle and standardized recipes
Oversee proper food storage procedures
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties
Maintain food safety equipment records and food safety temperature records
Practice all safety and loss prevention measures
Perform other duties as assigned
Required experience:
High school diploma/GED
One (1) year job related experience that includes food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
Required skills:
Ability to communicate effectively
Interest in working with a senior population
Demonstrated customer service skills
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule
