Pay rate is $35-42/hr. depending on experience

General Summary:
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day revenue and accounts receivable accounting activities, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reflected in the general ledger. This position will have ownership of key AR processes while also supporting broader accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional looking to expand their accounting responsibilities or an Accountant with strong AR and revenue experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Receivable activities and ensure accounts remain accurate and in compliance with established terms and procedures.
• Prepare and code deposits and accurately apply payments to the Accounts Receivable subledger.
• Review revenue and transaction activity for accuracy, completeness, and proper accounting treatment.
• Participate in the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and reviewing general ledger activity for accuracy.
• Maintain and reconcile applicable balance sheet accounts and supporting subledgers.
• Prepare and issue invoices to external customers and track outstanding receivables to support timely collection.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies, payment issues, and other revenue-related accounting matters.
• Analyze accounting records and prepare supporting financial reports and schedules for internal and external reporting.
• Work cross-functionally with internal departments to obtain information necessary for accurate invoicing, accounting, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation and accounting records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assist with the development and improvement of accounting procedures, processes, and internal controls.
• Assist with applicable governmental and regulatory filing requirements.
• Support the annual audit process, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.
• Perform financial and account analysis as requested.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

• At least  three years of Accounts Receivable, revenue accounting, or general accounting experience .
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including  debits and credits, journal entries, general ledger accounts, and account reconciliations .
• Experience supporting the  month-end close process .
• Experience with ERP or accounting software; experience with systems beyond QuickBooks is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in  Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and good accounting control practices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze financial information for accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to independently research discrepancies, identify issues, and determine appropriate solutions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a high volume of work and meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Accounting and other internal departments.
• Strong customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure, particularly during month-end close.
