Role Responsibilities Collaborate with the Global Category team, Product Management, and Engineering to develop long‑term strategy and technology roadmap. Align the roadmap and ensure correct portfolio of suppliers to meet business objectives. Identify potential supply risks and develop mitigating strategies. Work with engineering and product safety teams to define critical standards for supplier selection. Lead supplier selection for all NPI, partnering with engineering and product management at product conception. Manage the approved vendor list for category spend and communicate preferred/least preferred suppliers across the organization. Ensure a competitive sourcing environment by driving dual qualification of supply, routinely quoting incumbent spend, and challenging suppliers on cost. Negotiate long‑term supply contracts. Interface with cross‑functional teams to assess current and future sourcing needs (technology, cost, manufacturing location, lead time). Deliver periodic executive business review of category (5‑year plan) focusing on strategy, industry landscape, supplier capabilities, performance, and technical roadmaps. Help define strategic business objectives from cost, delivery, contracting, and NPI perspective. Maintain knowledge of market trends, supply conditions, cost structure, and technology shifts. Travel to supplier manufacturing locations to assess ground conditions, foster relationships, and deliver key messages to supplier leadership. Role Purpose Oversee supplier relationships for top suppliers in the Heavy Gauge Components category. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, and/or engineering. 5+ years using Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Ability to travel 30% internationally and domestically. Preferred Requirements Excellent verbal communication skills. Global supply chain experience working with diverse worldwide teams across multiple time zones. Familiarity with strategic sourcing concepts and tools. High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Successful negotiation experience with international suppliers. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, mechanical or industrial engineering, procurement preferred. Pay Range Annual salary: $96,000.00 – $192,000.00. Pay influenced by skills, education, experience, and unique qualifications. Other Compensation Short‑term cash incentives subject to plan requirements.
