About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Rheumatologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Michigan to help cover an ongoing vacancy.

️ Schedule Options

• Clinic Schedule:

  • 4 × 10-hour shifts or

  • 5 × 8-hour shifts

• Call:

  • 24-hour hospital call

  • 2 weeks per month

  • 1:2 call ratio (Tuesday–Monday)

Practice Details

• Office/Clinic Volume: 16–18 patients per day

• Hospital Volume: ~1 consult per day

• Trauma Level: Level II

• EMR: Epic

• Team: 1 Rheumatologist + MA, RN, Front Desk support

Procedures

• Joint aspirations

• Corticosteroid injections

✈️ Travel

• Local candidates preferred

• Travel can be provided: flight, hotel, rental car, mileage reimbursement

Preferred:

• Experience with Epic EMR

Requirements

• Board Certified in Rheumatology

• Fellowship-trained in Rheumatology

• Active Michigan medical license

• BLS certification

• Comfortable with clinic & hospital-based rheumatology care

• Ability to perform joint aspirations & corticosteroid injections

• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days at time of presentation)
