What you will be doing: 

Job Summary / Purpose

The Product Instructor career track includes individual contributors who design, develop, deliver, and improve training for Illumia's clients, partners, and employees. They create and maintain learning materials, align curricula with product releases using our standard instructional design process (ADDIE), evaluate feedback, provide post-training support, and manage required documentation and metrics.

Who will you work with:

External customers; internal customers including Support, Implementation, and Product Management; and — at Senior level and above — peer instructors in mentoring and coaching relationships.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Facilitates instructor-led training (in-person and virtual) for clients, partners, and employees, adapting delivery to audience skill level and learning style.
• Develops and maintains training materials, job aids, guides, courseware, and e-learning content in line with current product capabilities and organizational standards.
• Collaborates with Product Management and Engineering to keep training curricula aligned with new features and releases.
• Gathers and analyzes participant feedback to continuously improve training programs.
• Provides post-training support and stays current with product updates, industry trends, and instructional best practices.
• Maintains accurate training documentation, logistics, and personal metrics.

What You'll Bring:

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or associate degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years developing and presenting technical/application training to adult learners, or similar experience; requirements scale with level, from foundational instructional experience at the Product Instructor level to enterprise-wide strategic influence at the principal level.
• Skills: Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills; good time management and organization; strong customer service orientation; comfort with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard LMS/e-learning tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal education or certification in instructional design, adult learning, or professional development.
• Industry experience in education technology, healthcare, or business campus solutions.
• Experience designing enterprise-level or certification-track curricula (Advisory and Principal levels).

What is good to know:

Travel requirements vary by product supported, ranging from approximately 4 days per year to 15 days per month. Additional onsite attendance may be required in accordance with the company's in-office work policy.

This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and applicable state wage-and-hour laws.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
