NCDOT - SharePoint Operations Specialist - Jr

Job Summary (List Format):
- Provide operations, access management, and troubleshooting support for SharePoint and web-based business solutions within the Engineering Content Management (ECM) group at NCDOT.
- Manage user roles and permissions on SharePoint on-premise platforms, including creation and maintenance of security groups.
- Conduct annual audits of access groups and ensure membership and contact information accuracy.
- Respond promptly to ServiceNow tickets, resolving end-user issues and escalating to technical experts as necessary.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and technical support to both internal and external customers.
- Create, update, and maintain help documentation for common SharePoint and ECM issues.
- Monitor and report on EAS system issues during daily executive status calls.
- Create new SharePoint sites for conceptual, preconstruction, and construction projects both proactively and upon request.
- Approve access requests for project-specific SharePoint sites.
- Assist with testing new application development features as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Work independently, demonstrating proactive problem-solving and self-direction.
- Interface with customers at various organizational levels.
- Preferred: Local to the Triangle region of North Carolina, and able to attend 1-2 days per month onsite meetings.
- Preferred: Experience with NCID, NCDOT, GIS, ProjectWise, or HiCAMS.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of experience with SharePoint (preferably SharePoint 2019/SE) and security groups.
- 10+ years of experience with Active Directory.
- 10+ years of experience with ServiceNow.
- 10+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- 3+ years with NCID and/or NCDOT.
- Familiarity with GIS, ProjectWise, or HiCAMS.
- Understanding of NCDOT transportation lifecycle business processes.
