Regulatory Attorney for AI Evaluation
SaidGig
Design and author complex regulatory law evaluation tasks for AI systems used in regulatory compliance and government affairs. Workstreams will be calibrated to regulatory complexity, enforcement stakes, and the scope of major regulated-industry compliance programs. Contributors will develop realistic regulatory worlds on two tracks, a US track focused on Administrative Procedure Act issues and agency-specific statutes such as SEC, FDA, and FTC rules, and an International track focused on EU regulatory frameworks and UK regulatory bodies. Deliverables include scenario design, reference outputs, and rubrics that reflect senior regulatory counsel judgment.
Key Responsibilities- Construct scenarios covering regulatory compliance program design, agency investigations and enforcement actions, and rulemaking or public comment processes.
- Build tasks across these policy areas: financial services regulation, healthcare and FDA regulation, antitrust and competition law, data privacy and cybersecurity regulation, and environmental and energy regulation.
- Develop scenarios that incorporate tools such as regulatory tracking platforms, compliance management systems, and agency filing systems used in regulated industries.
- Apply regulatory law methodologies, including regulatory interpretation, compliance risk assessment, and enforcement response strategy, to produce reference compliance memoranda, regulatory filings, and enforcement response documents consistent with the applicable standards track, US or International.
- Author rubrics that distinguish authentic, senior-level regulatory judgment from generic law school or bar exam recall.
- At least 5 years experience as a regulatory attorney or compliance counsel at a major law firm, a regulated company, or a government agency.
- Direct ownership or leadership of regulatory compliance programs, agency interactions, or enforcement matters.
- Practical familiarity with regulatory tooling and a clear understanding of how administrative process and agency rulemaking operate in practice.
- A recognized professional credential is strongly preferred, for example a JD with bar admission or an international equivalent.
- Prior experience authoring rubrics, training materials, or compliance documentation is a plus.
- Location, remote.
- Engagement type, hourly.
Pay range, 90 to 100 hourly.
EligibilityExperts qualified in either the US track, the International track, or both tracks are encouraged to apply. The two tracks emphasize different legal frameworks, US Administrative Procedure Act and agency-specific statutes for the US track, and EU regulations, directives, and UK regulatory frameworks for the International track.
