Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation is needed at a high-volume Level IV Maternal Designation facility. This position involves providing specialized care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum, supporting a fast-paced environment with over 500 deliveries per month, and ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns. Job Details Required Credential(s): BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted, Registered Nurse Texas license, Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and Advanced Life Support certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in high-volume delivery service. Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week. Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in high-volume delivery service, Bachelors Degree in Nursing, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification. Additional Information: The unit features 26 LDR suites, including low intervention rooms, 6 C-section suites, 14 Triage rooms, 60 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 16 monitored Antepartum rooms. It offers academic teaching, large private OB practices, and operates as a high-risk, fast-paced delivery service with comprehensive in-house coverage including NICU, anesthesia, and obstetric teams.
