Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Location: North Austin Medical Center. This position involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The RN will be responsible for managing patient needs with a focus on fetal monitoring, obstetric emergencies, and assisting with various procedures in a high-volume Level IV unit. Job Details Position Description: CONTRACT - RN - LABOR AND DELIVERY OB/ED (707) - 13 WEEKS - 7:00P-7:00A night shift with rotating weekends, starting as soon as possible. Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE certification; 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery; COVID-19 vaccination required. Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week. Additional information: The unit handles approximately 32 beds with a staff of 150, including day and night shifts. Candidates should have experience with electronic fetal monitoring, C-section circulation, intrauterine pressure catheters, and sterile vaginal examinations. Preferred candidates have internal monitor placement skills and experience in a high-volume Level IV unit. Responsibilities include monitoring fetal heart rates, assisting with deliveries, and providing postpartum care. Candidates must demonstrate a team-oriented attitude, flexibility, and adherence to dress code standards (solid blue or black scrubs only).
