Read below for more information!What You'll Do as a Material Handler:Receive, inspect, and document all incoming freight for accuracy, condition, and quantityUnload incoming material using cranes, forklifts, or other material-handling equipmentRecord and communicate any shortages, damage, or nonconforming materialTag, store, and organize raw material in designated locations for easy retrievalCoordinate with purchasing, production, and quality teams to confirm receipt and proper documentation of materialsPick, sort, and move material with forklifts to appropriate work-in-process (WIP) staging areas based on work orderEnsure all material movements comply with weight limits, packaging standards, and quality requirementsAssist in preparing kits or component bundles for production use when neededAssist in preparing shipments of both raw material and finished productsPackage, label, and secure products per customer and internal specificationsLoad outbound shipments using forklifts, ensuring accuracy and safe weight distributionGenerate or verify documentation such as pick lists, packing slips, and shipping labelsWhat You Need to Bring to the Material Handler Role:High school diploma or equivalent required1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferredForklift experience/certification requiredExperience operating overhead cranes preferredFamiliarity with ERP systems or computerized inventory management a plusRegular standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationsAbility to maintain accuracy and focus in a fast-paced manufacturing settingAbility to safely operate material-handling equipment and follow all safety proceduresStrong organizational and time-management skillsBasic computer proficiency (ERP, Excel, Outlook)Ability to read and interpret work orders, prints, and shipping documentsWhy You'll Like Working with Doherty Staffing SolutionsEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
