District Manager - Northeast Florida

Purpose Drive performance across multiple store locations, ensuring alignment with sales goals, operational standards, and visual merchandising guidelines. This role manages, develops, and empowers store teams to optimize operations and enhance the overall customer experience, ultimately achieving district‑wide success and profitability. Responsibilities People: Lead, mentor, and develop store managers and their teams to foster a high‑performance inclusive culture. Work with the Store Manager on development plans and oversee recruitment, training, and development programs. Operations: Ensure adherence to operational standards and procedures across all stores, monitor inventory levels, shrinkage, and supply chain processes, analyze sales data and guest feedback, and maintain compliance with policies and safety regulations. Sales: Drive sales performance by setting and achieving revenue targets, implementing strategic sales initiatives, developing local sales strategies and promotions, and building strong guest relationships to foster brand loyalty. Visual Merchandising: Ensure all stores adhere to Tommy Bahama’s visual merchandising guidelines, collaborate with store managers on displays, and conduct regular visits to review and enhance visual merchandising strategies. Business Acumen: Utilize analytical skills to assess district performance, manage budgets, control expenses, develop operational efficiency strategies, and stay abreast of industry trends. Accountability: Own district performance, prepare detailed reports on sales trends, operational issues, and employee performance, and implement action plans to address underperformance. Qualifications and Requirements College degree in Business or a related field is preferred. Minimum 8 years of retail management experience. At least 2 years managing store managers. Proven experience leading, mentoring, and coaching all levels of store employees. Financial acumen, including budgeting, sales data analysis, and expense control. Strong retail acumen with customer service, sales techniques, product knowledge, and company policy training. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and listening skills. Strong organization and multitasking ability. Advanced technical aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite, POS systems, and scheduling tools. Ability to produce clear and concise recaps, policy recommendations, coaching documents, and internal communications. Experience in external guest relations is preferred. Willingness to travel up to 80% and work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, and twist frequently.
