IT Support Technician

Job Description

Pacific Staffing is partnering with our Folsom CA based client to identify a reliable and customer-focused IT Support Technician I to provide first-level technical support across a fast-paced, growing organization. This role is ideal for a service-oriented technician who enjoys troubleshooting, assisting end users, and keeping daily IT operations running smoothly. The IT Support Technician I will handle hardware/software support, onboarding tasks, basic security triage, and onsite technical needs while delivering clear communication and exceptional customer service.

• Pay $32-$35/hr.
• 100% onsite in Folsom for the first 90 days, transitioning to 1 day offsite per week after the initial period.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level hardware, software, and network support to local and remote users.
• Troubleshoot PCs, peripherals, connectivity issues, telephony, voicemail resets, Teams/Zoom, and basic cabling.
• Respond to IT support tickets promptly and follow documented procedures.
• Process onboarding/offboarding requests per ISMS policy.
• Set up and administer access badges, alarm codes, workstations, and mobile devices (iPhones).
• Triage basic security incidents and escalate when appropriate.
• Document end-user guides and internal knowledge base articles.
• Travel to local company sites to provide onsite support.
• Assist with general facilities and office-related technology needs.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and prioritization abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
• Understanding of when to escalate incidents; adherence to ISO 27001 and SOC2 policies.
• Associate's degree in IT preferred; 2+ years technical support experience preferred.
• Technical certifications (Microsoft, A+, etc.) a plus.
