Design customized treatment strategies aimed at immediate and long-term communication and swallowing objectives.
Deliver focused, one-on-one therapy sessions addressing communication disorders, language development, fluency, voice regulation, and swallowing issues.
Engage collaboratively alongside physical and occupational therapists, physicians, and caregivers to formulate cohesive care plans.
Provide guidance and education to patients and families to foster progress beyond clinical interactions.
Assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy to ensure a seamless continuity of care.
Keep meticulous records that comply with state, federal, and organizational standards.
Maintain an active engagement with professional development to stay ahead in the evolving field of communication sciences.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in order to obtain ASHA certification.
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) conferred by ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in treatment methodologies applicable to various age groups and a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech and language challenges.
Outstanding communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Adeptness at adapting therapeutic approaches to suit varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Exceptional clinical judgment and analytical skills.
Familiarity with electronic health records and the documentation processes.
