Position Title Management Analyst, Social & Multimedia Location Mission College, Santa Clara, CA Assignment Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, 12 months per year. Anticipated start date: August 24, 2026. Schedule may include evenings or weekends as needed. Salary and Benefits Monthly salary: $9,387.67–$10,262.58 (WVMCEA Salary Schedule, Range 70, Steps A‑C) Employer contributed medical, dental, and vision for employee, spouse, and/or dependents Employer‑paid long‑term disability and life insurance 14 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday annually; paid non‑work days between Christmas and New Year 12 days of vacation leave accrued annually (up to 22 days at maximum step); 12 days sick leave accrued annually Personal necessity leave and personal business leave Educational growth incentive program ($45–$225 monthly) Longevity awards: $1,000 after 10 years; $1,500 after 15 years CalPERS retirement plan Union affiliation Responsibilities Develop, create, and manage multimedia content (photography, videography, graphics, reels, short‑form videos) Maintain the College’s social media presence across multiple platforms Serve as primary event photographer: plan, capture, edit, and organize coverage of campus events Provide real‑time content creation for social media and institutional communications Capture, edit, and organize high‑quality photographs and video content for marketing campaigns, websites, and public relations materials Collaborate with the Marketing & Content Strategist to amplify institutional messaging through video, social media, and storytelling Develop and implement social media content calendars supporting enrollment, retention, and student engagement Monitor social media trends, engagement, and analytics to optimize performance and inform strategy Use AI‑powered tools and emerging technologies for content creation, scheduling, analytics, and audience engagement Support digital marketing and recruitment campaigns through multimedia storytelling and targeted social content Coordinate livestreams, event coverage, interviews, and multimedia projects for college programs and special events Ensure all digital content complies with accessibility standards, district policies, copyright requirements, and branding guidelines Generate reports and recommendations based on social media performance and campaign outcomes Work collaboratively with instructional departments, Student Services, Athletics, and administrative offices to promote student success stories and programs Assist with media relations, promotional campaigns, and institutional communications initiatives as assigned Stay current on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in social media, digital marketing, multimedia production, and higher education communications Minimum Qualifications Two years of responsible technical or professional administrative experience in a college or university environment Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, social science, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent combination of experience and education) Understanding and sensitivity to diverse academic, socio‑economic, ethnic, religious, cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty, and staff Desired Qualifications Experience developing and executing social media strategies in higher education or public sector Demonstrated success creating high‑performing multimedia content that drives engagement and enrollment outcomes Ability to capture high‑quality photographs and video content at campus events for social media, marketing, and institutional communications Experience managing multiple social media platforms with consistent brand voice and strategic messaging Familiarity with AI‑powered tools for content creation, scheduling, analytics, and social listening Experience using social media management platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar tools Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including audience targeting, campaign planning, and performance optimization Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support institutional goals Experience mentoring or supervising student workers, interns, or content contributors Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive communication practices Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable content and strategy improvements Experience managing livestream or live event coverage for institutional or public‑facing events Knowledge of photography, lighting, audio capture, and short‑form mobile video production techniques Experience developing multimedia and social media content that supports student recruitment, enrollment, and engagement campaigns Familiarity with accessibility standards for video and digital media content, including captioning, transcripts, and alternative text Posting Information Posting Number: FY22/23-340FT Open Date: 06/02/2026 Close Date: 06/26/2026 EEO Statement West Valley‑Mission Community College District is an Equal Opportunity Employer that seeks to employ a diverse workforce who will contribute to an inclusive and welcoming educational and employment environment.
