Your Daily Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, prescribing diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues in collaboration with physicians or autonomously (per credentialing)
• Providing education to patients and families about wellness, prevention, and health management
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your practice authority
• Engaging in follow-up care and managing chronic health conditions
• Working in tandem with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records in electronic medical systems (EMR)

Qualifications You Need

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Credentials

• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a similar specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days)
