What You'll Be Doing

• Executing comprehensive patient evaluations, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and treating both acute and chronic conditions either independently or in collaboration with physicians based on your credentials
• Informing patients and their families about wellness, prevention, and disease management strategies
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your scope of practice

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
