Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while maintaining a supportive team atmosphere. You will collaborate with other mental health professionals, social workers, and healthcare providers virtually, utilizing advanced communication tools and platforms for assessments, consultations, and collaborative care planning. Our typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the unique emotional and psychological needs of elderly residents.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions focusing on coping strategies for loss, major life adjustments, and mental health disorders among seniors.

• Work integratively with healthcare teams to develop personalized, interdisciplinary care plans that address the physical and mental health needs of geriatric clients.

• Educate family members and healthcare staff on best practices for supporting emotional well-being in older adults, ensuring a holistic approach to care.

• Implement cognitive stimulation programs and mental health interventions aimed at maintaining cognitive function and emotional health in the elderly.

• Provide grief and loss counseling, offering specialized support for clients and families dealing with bereavement and end-of-life issues.

• Utilize telehealth technologies effectively to deliver remote counseling services and follow-ups, ensuring effective communication and care continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on the geriatric population, including elderly individuals navigating complex life transitions, chronic illnesses, and the emotional ramifications of aging. You will be directly involved with clients experiencing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, grief, and dementia-related issues, providing compassionate, individualized support tailored to their unique life experiences and backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 65,000 to 95,000 annually, commensurate with expertise and experience. Additionally, a sign-on bonus may be available for qualified candidates.
