Payroll Coordinator (Ceridian Dayforce Experience Preferred)

Our rapidly growing partner, with over 800 locations across the United States, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support high-volume payroll operations. This role is responsible for the bi-weekly and monthly disbursement of payroll for employees, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Responsibilities: Support internal controls and operations to ensure all payroll is processed accurately and on time Maintain knowledge of current departmental and company policies and procedures Communicate effectively with various levels of management Investigate and respond to payroll-related inquiries Review and implement employment contracts Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies Complete accurate and timely quarterly and year-end reporting Respond to employment verification requests in accordance with company policy Stay up to date on federal, state, and local payroll regulations Manage workflows to ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently Process and calculate employee garnishments, liens, and other withholding orders

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred Experience with Ceridian / Dayforce strongly preferred Strong knowledge of payroll best practices, including taxation and compliance regulations 4+ years of experience with an integrated HRIS/payroll system Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience processing payroll for 5,000+ employees across multiple states Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work onsite in Birmingham, AL or remotely
