This position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of your own space while maintaining access to professional resources and support. You will have the freedom to manage your schedule within our standard working hours, which are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our clinic utilizes innovative digital tools to facilitate communication, documentation, and client interactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Health Journey Wellness, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the nature and severity of mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

• Collaborating with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals, values, and lifestyle needs.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to guide interventions.

• Providing psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and healthy coping strategies.
\n
• Regularly monitoring and documenting client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for clients.

• Staying abreast of the latest research and developments in mental health to continuously enhance your treatment approach.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations and team meetings, ensuring a cohesive therapeutic approach across our services.

• Advocating for client needs and mental health awareness in the community, working to reduce stigma associated with seeking help.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your client caseload will include individuals facing various mental health challenges, with a primary focus on those experiencing mood disorders. You will offer therapeutic support to a wide demographic, including but not limited to adults, families, homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. This diverse client base allows you to make a significant impact in improving mental health across different communities.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following qualifications:

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build trusting therapeutic relationships with clients through strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences.

• Proficient organizational and time-management skills to handle administrative tasks efficiently and manage a varied caseload.

Preferred Experience\n

While all qualified therapists are encouraged to apply, candidates with experience in community mental health settings, particularly those who have worked with marginalized populations, will be given preference. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methods, as well as knowledge of co-occurring disorders, will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
