To advance its mission of enhancing the health system, a remote Associate General Counsel, Privacy will manage compliance with HIPAA and state privacy laws, advise on regulatory changes, and operationalize privacy programs while supporting Optum's business lines. Key responsibilities Serve as a trusted privacy advisor, focusing on HIPAA and state privacy law compliance Advise on regulatory change management and support the implementation of emerging privacy requirements Lead responses to regulatory inquiries and provide privacy support for business associate agreements Required qualifications JD Degree Current license to practice law 5+ years of experience practicing law 3+ years of experience in a privacy legal environment Experience in health care Privacy Law
