Staff Accountant Location: Cos Cob, CT (On-Site, 5 Days per Week) Compensation: Up to $95K Base + Bonus (DOE) We are partnering with a growing alternative asset management organization to identify a Staff Accountant for a newly created position driven by company growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to join a sophisticated financial services environment and gain exposure to both corporate and fund accounting while working directly with senior finance leadership. This role will work closely with the Controller and Fund Controller, supporting critical accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis while helping the organization continue to scale. Key Responsibilities * Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation * Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities * Download, analyze, and transform large data sets into accounting entries * Utilize Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Jet Reports for financial reporting * Assist with accounts payable and accounting operations as needed * Support fund accounting activities and multi-entity accounting processes * Maintain documentation and controls in accordance with SOX-related requirements * Partner with operations and other internal teams on accounting initiatives * Leverage technology and automation tools to improve accounting workflows Top Priorities for This Role 1.
