As an Account Executive at AFC Transport, you will be on the front lines driving growth, targeting prospects, and turning cold outreach into long-term customers. You will build relationships from scratch, uncover pain points in shipping and logistics, and pitch solutions that keep freight moving while expanding your book of business. What You'll Do
- Build and execute a business development strategy to drive new revenue growth
- Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities through proactive outreach and consultative selling
- Own the full sales cycle: discovery, solution development, pricing, proposal creation, negotiation, and close
- Lead executive-level meetings and build long-term relationships with key decision makers
- Partner with internal operations and solutions teams to develop customized transportation solutions aligned to customer needs
- Maintain accurate CRM data and provide pipeline updates, forecasts, and performance insights
- Ensure customer expectations are aligned with operations to support successful onboarding and long-term service delivery
- Consistently meet or exceed activity and revenue targets
What We're Looking For
Required
- 3+ years of business development experience in freight brokerage/logistics
- Proven ability to close new business and grow strategic accounts
- Strong consultative sales skills with executive presence and confidence in discovery
- Strong pipeline management and organizational skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of results
Preferred
- Experience selling into mid-market to enterprise accounts
- Ability to leverage an existing network of shipper relationships (a plus not required)
- Experience collaborating with operations teams to ensure strong service execution and retention

Compensation: Salary starting at $60,000 per year plus commissions
