Role Description The Logistics Account Executive (LAET) is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Tampa, FL. In this position, you will build and manage a portfolio of customers and carriers, focusing on moving truckload freight efficiently while maintaining strong, long‑term relationships. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate rates, and coordinate end‑to‑end shipment details to ensure on‑time pickup and delivery. Daily responsibilities include making outbound calls, providing proactive customer service, resolving issues or delays, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless execution. You will monitor market trends, maintain accurate records in TQL’s systems, and work in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment where results are recognized and rewarded. Qualifications Freight Brokerage skills, including understanding truckload operations, carrier networks, and market pricing. Account Management skills, such as maintaining and growing customer and carrier relationships, and managing ongoing business. Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to clearly convey information, negotiate, and provide timely, professional support. New Business Development skills, including prospecting, cold‑calling, and converting leads into long‑term accounts. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment. Comfort with phone‑based sales, high call volumes, and meeting or exceeding performance targets. Ability to work on‑site in Tampa, FL, with a flexible schedule that may include extended hours as business needs arise. Proficiency with basic computer applications and CRM or logistics software; prior logistics or transportation experience is a plus.
