The successful candidate will be a seasoned fundraising professional with a proven track record in leading fundraising teams and engaging with philanthropists. This role is pivotal in driving the organization's mission to provide high-quality, community-based youth development services. The VP of Development will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to meet aggressive fundraising goals, including individual and corporate giving, and will play a key role in the planning of major fundraising events. The position requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships, and a deep understanding of the resource development field. Responsibilities Develop and execute fundraising strategies to achieve aggressive goals; lead fundraising teams; plan and execute major fundraising events; oversee the Development Department; maintain a culture of execution, teamwork, and professionalism; collaborate with senior staff, marketing, communications, and program impact strategies. Qualifications Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years of leadership experience in fundraising and relationship management. Essential skills include the ability to organize, direct, and coordinate fundraising activities, strong management and leadership abilities, financial tracking expertise, and ability to manage a portfolio of top donors.
