The HR Supervisor will play a key role in supporting employees and leadership while overseeing a broad range of HR functions. Key Responsibilities Lead employee relations investigations and support progressive discipline and corrective action processes. Administer benefits, open enrollment, leave programs, accommodations, FMLA, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work processes. Oversee HRIS data accuracy, personnel records, payroll support, and employment changes. Manage performance evaluation processes and assist with employee development and training. Monitor federal, state, and local employment regulations and ensure HR policies remain compliant. Maintain and update the employee handbook, HR policies, I-9 documentation, and required labor law postings. Coordinate recruitment activities, onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and employment verification. Prepare HR metrics, reporting, audits, and compliance documentation for leadership. Supervise and provide guidance to HR staff while collaborating with benefits, payroll, HRIS, and other vendors. Travel among Chicagoland locations as needed while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. The HR Supervisor will be an important member of the HR team and an ideal fit for someone who combines strong employee-relations judgment with excellent organization, communication, and attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree preferred, along with supervisory experience. SHRM-CP or PHR is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. This is a fully on-site HR Supervisor position in Chicago, with occasional travel to Chicagoland locations.
