Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and detailed assessments to accurately diagnose a variety of mental health disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans through collaborative discussions with patients, incorporating their preferences and goals.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, regularly monitoring patient effectiveness and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care across various treatment settings.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, techniques for self-care, and strategies for coping.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously through electronic health records (EHR) while maintaining compliance with standards and regulations.
• Participate in regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments based on patient feedback and symptoms.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings, clinical supervision, and case conferences as part of ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing, with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits
