Make a meaningful difference supporting children’s growth and development as an Occupational Therapist in an educational setting. This contract opportunity, starting August 10th, 2026, and running through June 17th, 2027, is full-time and focused on serving a dedicated Infant and Toddler caseload with a key role in Child Find initiatives. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and support children’s functional skills, fostering access to educational opportunities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of Maryland
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with Child Find procedures and early intervention services is advantageous
- Ability to plan, implement, and document individualized interventions
- Skilled communicator, comfortable working closely with families and educators
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to dynamic caseload needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans aligning with educational goals
- Deliver occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers in accordance with IEP/IFSP requirements
- Support early identification of developmental concerns through Child Find initiatives
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize student participation and performance
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state reporting standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing professional learning community
