Elevate your career as a physical therapist with this contract opportunity working in a dynamic educational setting near Lexington Park, MD. This part-time assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, where you'll play a vital role supporting K-12 students. As part of a collaborative team, you'll be empowered to make an immediate, meaningful impact.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland Physical Therapy (PT) License required
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills for partnering with educators and families
- Committed to fostering students’ mobility development and participation in school activities
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to K-12 students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress
- Document services provided and student outcomes in compliance with district policies
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to promote a positive educational experience
- Educate students, families, and staff on mobility strategies, adaptive equipment, and classroom modifications
Assignment Details:
- Part-time schedule: 20-25 hours weekly
- Start Date: August 10, 2026
- End Date: June 17, 2027
- Contract role for optimal flexibility
