Position Details
- Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
- Create tailored treatment strategies that encompass both immediate goals and long-term needs regarding communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team comprised of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop unified care plans.
- Provide essential education and guidance to patients and their families to promote progress beyond clinical interactions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the therapy process.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational policies.
- Continuously expand your knowledge of the field through ongoing education and collaborative engagement with peers.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified.
Required Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
