Human Resources Generalist

Cedars of Marin is hiring a full-time, on-site Human Resources Generalist in San Anselmo, CA to support daily HR operations and recruiting workflows. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by building and maintaining professional relationships with co-workers, program personnel, administrative staff, employees, and the public Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information with tact, discretion, and strong ethical judgment Apply tact and diplomacy when supporting sensitive, complex, and confidential personnel and employee matters Maintain HR files and support reporting agency needs Under supervision, assist with the design and implementation of the overall recruiting strategy Partner with hiring managers to understand required skills and competencies for open roles Assist with drafting job descriptions, job ads, and selection materials, including creative input for external sites and social media as needed Manage the department ATS by communicating promptly and effectively during sourcing and the interview process Conduct applicant screening interviews and assist with subsequent interviews with hiring managers Support the clearance and onboarding process for prospective candidates Build and maintain professional relationships across all HR constituents Handle time-sensitive, confidential paperwork with efficiency and accuracy Support evolving departmental needs as they arise Communicate and collaborate effectively to promote open information exchange, respect, professionalism, and high standards Simultaneously manage multiple job assignments Contribute to department goals, objectives, and ongoing activities Interpret, apply, and explain applicable rules and regulations Work independently and take initiative Requirements Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn and use various databases Paycom experience preferred Excellent English verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and an analytically driven mindset Understanding of business letter writing, report preparation, and basic business math Leadership, coaching capability, problem-solving, and resourceful thinking Strong empathy and interpersonal skills Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is helpful Ability to pass an employment physical including a TB test, and meet job physical requirements Valid DMV driver’s license and a clean driving record CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to acquire both Ability to pass a criminal background check with the FBI and DOJ Upbeat, positive attitude and good sense of humor a plus Technology Microsoft Office Suite Paycom ATS Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Pet Insurance 403(b)/Roth Retirement Plan with employer matching based on tenure Paid Vacation and Sick Time 3 Personal Days 10 Paid Holidays Flexible Spending Account Plan Employee Assistance Program Employer-paid Life/AD&D Insurance Employer-paid Long-Term Disability Insurance Bonus of up to $1,000 distributed over the course of the first year of employment Work setup: Full-time, on-site.
