Director of Business Development, ArchitectureKansas City, MOSchedule: Full timeCompensation: $120,000 per yearThis architecture firm in Kansas City, Missouri is hiring a Director of Business Development to lead client acquisition and growth strategy across its project pursuits. The role partners closely with firm leadership to expand the firm's presence in the Kansas City AEC market and beyond.The Director of Business Development drives business development strategy in alignment with the firm's growth goals, identifying, pursuing, and securing new clients and project opportunities. This person builds and maintains relationships with owners, developers, public agencies, and industry partners, and leads and supports pursuits, RFQs, RFPs, interviews, and presentations from early positioning through final selection. Working closely with principals, studio leaders, and the marketing team, the Director positions the firm competitively in a crowded market, represents the firm at industry events and within the Kansas City AEC community, and tracks pipeline activity to report on business development performance and forecasting.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in architecture, business, marketing, or a related field7 or more years of business development experience in architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC)Demonstrated success leading RFQ/RFP pursuits and client presentationsStrong relationship building skills with owners, developers, and public agency contactsExperience tracking and forecasting business development pipeline activityPreferred QualificationsEstablished network within the Kansas City AEC communityExperience working directly with firm principals and studio leadership on positioning strategyFamiliarity with CRM or pipeline tracking tools used in AEC business developmentCompensation and Benefits$120,000 per yearMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k)Paid time offTo apply, submit your resume for consideration.
