Educational Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree, supplemented with preparations for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certification Requirements

• Must obtain ASCP or AMT Board certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment.
• Continuously maintain certification during the course of employment.
