Field Service Engineer, Spectroscopy
$34 - $53.13 per hourAgilent
Agilent seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair spectroscopy systems at customer laboratory sites across Michigan and surrounding states. The role combines on-site technical support with customer relationship building, requiring travel up to 75% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and optimize Agilent Spectroscopy hardware, software, and networked systems at customer sites
- Diagnose and resolve product performance issues at the system and solution level
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and system optimizations
- Train customers and field engineers on Agilent Spectroscopy solutions
- Build customer relationships through clear communication and high-quality service delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- 1–2+ years of industry experience with spectroscopy instrumentation
- Experience supporting Agilent Spectroscopy systems
- Hands-on experience with ICP-OES, ICP-MS, or UV-Vis spectroscopy highly preferred
- Strong problem-solving and systems-level troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50% or more
Compensation: $34.00–$53.13/hour, plus bonus, stock, and benefits
