Regional Sales Director – Laparoscopic Surgical Devices

Territory: Northeast USA (New York Based Preferred)

We are partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing medical device manufacturer to identify a Regional Sales Director to lead commercial operations across the Northeast United States.

This leadership role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and executing regional sales strategy, and leading a high-performing team focused on the adoption of advanced laparoscopic surgical technologies. Working closely with surgeons, hospital leadership, IDNs, and key stakeholders, you will play a critical role in expanding market share and supporting continued business growth throughout the region.

Candidates should ideally be based in the New York area to effectively support key accounts and regional team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, Lead, coach, and develop a regional team to achieve and exceed annual revenue objectives
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive sales growth across the Northeast territory
• Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, hospital executives, supply chain leaders, and key clinical stakeholders
• Drive adoption and utilization of the company’s laparoscopic surgical portfolio within hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers
• Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships
• Support complex negotiations, contracting discussions, and strategic account planning activities
• Partner with clinical, marketing, and medical affairs teams to ensure successful product implementation and customer engagement
• Conduct regular field coaching and performance reviews to maximize individual and team effectiveness
• Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
• Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting
• Represent the company at industry conferences, surgeon training events, and key customer meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related discipline
• Minimum 8+ years of successful medical device sales experience
• At least 3+ years of sales leadership experience managing regional or multi-state teams
• Strong background selling into the operating room environment and hospital systems
• Experience within laparoscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, surgical energy, visualization, or related surgical technologies
• Demonstrated success achieving revenue targets and leading high-performing commercial teams
• Experience working with IDNs, GPOs, and complex healthcare purchasing processes
• Established network of surgeons, clinical leaders, and decision-makers across the Northeast is highly desirable
• Must be willing to travel extensively throughout the Northeast region
• Candidates based in New York are strongly preferred
