Position Overview

Masuda Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Buffalo, New York. As a vital member of our orthopedic outpatient practice, you will help patients restore mobility and function, enabling them to achieve their personal best. Our state-of-the-art, 5,000 square foot facility specializes in sports medicine and rehabilitation, catering primarily to patients with private health insurance. With a robust team comprised of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), we foster a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality, individualized care.

Work Environment

You will work onsite in our modern facility, which is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technologies and an inviting atmosphere designed to promote recovery and wellness. Our standard work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, enabling a balanced professional schedule while providing direct care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patient conditions to establish tailored care plans that address individual health objectives and functional requirements.
• Manage a case load efficiently, seeing one patient per hour, while ensuring timely documentation of all services provided.
• Employ various treatment techniques and modalities to facilitate rehabilitation, focusing on improving patients' motion, strength, and mobility.
• Advocate for non-invasive treatment options, minimizing reliance on medications and surgical interventions when possible.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive, coordinated approach to patient care.
• Regularly assess progress and adjust treatment plans according to individual patient responses to therapy.
• Document all treatment outcomes to evaluate effectiveness and maintain clear communication with patients and team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center primarily serves a diverse array of patients seeking orthopedic rehabilitation. This includes individuals recovering from sports injuries, surgeries, chronic pain, and mobility limitations. As a physical therapist here, you will have the opportunity to employ your skills in manual therapy, exercise regimen development, and rehabilitation techniques to guide patients through their recovery journey while encouraging them to adopt healthier lifestyles.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current New York State licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board actions taken against your license.
• Strong understanding and proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Ability to design and implement effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Adept at delivering evidence-based therapy interventions that yield positive patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between $90,000 and $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
