Pro Movement Physical Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist (PT) to join our expert team in Buffalo, New York. Our facility encompasses over 5,000 square feet of innovative space tailored for sports medicine and rehabilitative therapies. With a proficient team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), we prioritize patient-centered care and have established a positive reputation within the Buffalo community.

Work Environment

This onsite position is based in a modern rehabilitation facility designed to foster a healing atmosphere. Our facility is equipped with the latest technology and therapy modalities, enabling our team to deliver high-quality care. Working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will be part of a collaborative environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individualized patient care by maintaining a manageable caseload, allowing for comprehensive attention to each patient's rehabilitation process.
• Implement various treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise prescription, aimed at enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and overall mobility.
• Minimize reliance on pharmacological interventions by recommending non-surgical alternatives and optimizing the effectiveness of therapy.
• Prepare and customize fitness and wellness programs based on patients' unique requirements and rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of patient progress, treatments, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients, facilitating open communication regarding treatment plans and patient progress.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness, reassess goals, and modify care plans as required to ensure optimal recovery.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, focusing on building their confidence and facilitating their return to everyday activities.
• Promote a holistic approach to health and wellness by educating patients on lifestyle changes that support recovery and prevent future injuries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient demographic consists of individuals with private medical insurance who seek rehabilitation following orthopedic issues such as surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Our therapists work closely with an array of patients, each facing unique challenges that require tailored therapeutic approaches. Your role will be crucial in helping patients regain function and achieve their personal health goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy with eligibility for licensure.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of New York.
• No prior disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated manual therapy skills and a strong foundation in exercise development.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience in orthopedic outpatient care is preferred.
• Proficiency in developing comprehensive treatment plans that are evidence-based and patient-specific.
• Experience with patient education and wellness program implementation.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary for this full-time Physical Therapist position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, dependent upon experience and credentials.
