Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans as developed in collaboration with patients, focusing on enhancing mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, emphasizing proper techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness in promoting physical well-being.
• Educate patients about body mechanics and home exercise programs, empowering them to take control of their recovery.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapies, to support rehabilitation processes.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capacity in accordance with organizational standards.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure that all equipment and supplies are organized and ready for use during therapy sessions.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a positive environment that motivates them throughout their recovery process.
• Adhere to ethical standards and best practices, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting their rights.

The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions as well as those facing age-related challenges. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current valid state licensure or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, with a strong preference for background in home care settings.

Compensation and Benefits
