Work Environment

The work setting is primarily onsite, allowing direct interaction with patients on a regular basis. Our facility is equipped with modern therapeutic equipment and adheres to best practices for patient care and safety. You will collaborate closely with a team of multidisciplinary professionals who share a common goal of optimizing patient outcomes. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, either from 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, providing a structured schedule that supports work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions to design personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs and goals.
• Implement and modify treatment protocols utilizing diverse techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, massage, and patient education.
• Regularly engage with patients to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring optimal recovery and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Participate in clinical teaching activities by mentoring physical therapy interns, student residents, and junior staff members, helping to shape the next generation of therapists.
• Collaborate with the management team to identify educational needs for staff and make contributions to the development of training programs.
• Possibly engage in clinical research initiatives within your area of expertise, contributing to the advancement of orthopedic physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse clientele, primarily patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions that affect movement. You will empower patients by improving their functional abilities, alleviating pain, and enhancing their overall quality of life. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you will often serve as a source of encouragement and support throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory; a Master's Degree is preferred.
• Active New York State Physical Therapy license required.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in physical therapy, particularly in an orthopedic setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary to provide high-quality patient care.
• Strong clinical assessment capabilities and treatment skills are essential for the effective delivery of therapy services.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred, demonstrating advanced knowledge in orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
