Work Environment

This position requires working onsite within our patient's homes, offering the flexibility to interact with clients in their own environments, which can significantly enhance their comfort and recovery process. The schedule for this role generally operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility needed to meet the needs of our patients and adapted therapy plans. You will have access to a wide range of therapies and modalities, as well as a collaborative team atmosphere that fosters professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, promoting advancements in physical health and pain management.
• Educate patients and their families about proper body mechanics, effective exercise techniques, and the importance of adhering to prescribed home exercise protocols.
• Administer clinical modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapies, ensuring patient safety and effective outcome measures.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking essential metrics including range of motion, strength improvements, and the achievement of rehabilitation goals.
• Organize and prepare treatment areas and therapy equipment, ensuring everything is ready for patient sessions to facilitate smooth operations.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team—including other Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists—to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
• Provide emotional and motivational support throughout the rehabilitation journey, building a trusting relationship that encourages patient engagement and recovery.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards within practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position encompasses a broad range of patient demographics, including elderly individuals with mobility challenges, children requiring developmental support, and athletes recovering from injuries. Each patient presents unique rehabilitation needs, and your expertise as a Physical Therapist will play a pivotal role in tailoring treatment to their specific conditions and goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.
• Ability to work independently in a home care setting while managing multiple cases.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical or home care setting preferred.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Familiarity with various rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
